Tial Q Series Blow Off Valve

Tial Q series universal BOV features a CNC machined aluminum housing, a generous 50.5mm valve, high temperature nomex reinforced silicone diaphragm, and teflon coated valve shaft. Assemble with all stainless hardware and supplied with a V-band style aluminum weld flange and clamp. This is an essential upgrade for large volume front mounted intercooler systems.
The purpose of the blow off valve (BOV) is to release trapped boost pressure in the intercooler system when the throttle is closed rapidly. It ensures increased turbo reliability and allows the turbine wheel to spin more freely making it more responsive when the throttle is reapplied.
The Tial BOV is available in multiple spring pressures to suit the application. Select a spring rate that is slightly lower than the negative pressure at idle. Typical Subaru turbocharged setups will run a 10psi spring.
The 6061 aluminum housing is available anodized in your choice of 5 colors.
