Motul Break-In Oil is a conventional lubricant formulated specifically for running in new engines including high performance ones. Its high ZDDP (Zinc DialkylDithioPhosphate) fortified formula provides fast and effective mating of piston rings and cylinder bores while providing exceptional protection for camshafts and flat tappet lifters.
We recommend that the Break-In oil is used for the first 1500 miles. It should be changed 1 to 2 times during that interval (at no more than 50 miles and then optionally at 500 miles). The first oil change is essential for removing dirt or debris overlooked during the assembly process as well as flushing out assembly lubricants and break-in swarf. After 1500 miles switch to a quality synthetic oil.
