Mass Air Flow Sensor GD
Air flow sensor (MAF). Fitted to the air intake system and used by the ECU as a primary input for fuel calculations.
A faulty MAF sensor can cause rough running conditions or stalling and can potentially lead to engine failure due to faulty fuel calculations. The sensor surface can become contaminated by oilq and dirt and care must be taken when running oiled air filters to avoid excess oil. In some cases cleaning the sensor can restore performance but many times replacement is the only option.
