Transmission Oil Strainer TY856 6MT
The oil strainer is used on oil pump-equipped transmission applications (MY01-early MY07). It serves as the oil pickup for the oil pump and its purpose is to strain out any debris of sufficient size as to cause damage or failure to the oil pump.
This part may require replacement after a serious gear failure due to the difficulty in fully cleaning the metal debris out of the pickup screen area.
