Reverse Sleeve & Gear Assembly TY856 6MT
Reverse gear sleeve & hub assembly is responsible for engaging reverse gear.
Severe gear clash such as inadvertently engaging reverse gear while moving forward at high speed or during attempts to rock a stuck vehicle free can cause damage to the sleeve and the idler gear. This can result in the inability to shift into reverse or the transmission being stuck in reverse. Replacing the reverse sleeve & gear assembly and reverse idler gear is necessary to repair this condition.
