Sleeve & Hub 6MT 1st/2nd MY01-07
Sleeve and hub assembly for 1st/2nd gear selection for 6MT TY856 applications. This is an updated part. Transmissions with serial number below #060061 (09/2004) require updating related parts (1st gear, 1st synchronizer, and 1st/2nd shift fork).
Gear clash due to missed shifts or worn synchros will cause damage to the synchro dog teeth. If the sharp angles on the leading edges of the sleeve (slider) become rounded over or damaged shift performance will suffer. In severe cases a burr forms on the sleeve and prevents engagement or will cause the transmission to be stuck in gear.
