Motul 8100 ECO-LITE 0W20 is designed for modern engines requiring a very low HTHS (High Temperature High Shear) viscosity in order to optimize fuel economy while still providing excellent wear protection.
Use for newer Subaru naturally aspirated applications requiring a OW20 engine oil.
Viscosity is a measure of how easily the oil flows with muti-viscosity ratings indicating the viscosity when cold (winter weight - the number before the "W") and when hot (the second number). Optimal viscosity selection is a balance between ensuring the oil flows easily during cold starting and maintaining sufficient oil pressure at maximum expected oil temperatures.
