Kelford is internationally renowned for camshaft quality and innovation. They offer a full range of Subaru cams with profiles ranging from mild to extreme. Most cam profiles require upgraded valve springs for proper valve control. Stage 1 to 3 cams are available in an optional high lift profile requiring conversion to shimless valve lifters. Higher lift cams may require clearancing of the cylinder head. Select your cam profile based on the following guide (click to view cam spec card pdf):
256 Deg. Duration (B) Profile - For stock or near stock applications. Excellent throttle response with focus on low/mid range gains. Upgraded valve springs recommended but not required. Can be used with shim on bucket.
264 Deg. Duration (C) Profile - "Stage 1" for race/rally and mid-sized turbo performance street applications. Retains excellent throttle response with a focus on mid-range power. Upgraded valve springs required. Can be used with shim on bucket.
272 Deg. Duration (E) Profile - "Stage2" for built engine mid/high rpm motorsport applications running 58 to 66mm turbo size. Minor loss of throttle response and driveability in exchange for mid to high rpm power gains. Upgraded valve springs required. Can be used with shim on bucket.
264 Deg. Duration (J) Profile - High lift "Stage 1" for race/rally and mid-sized turbo performance street applications. Retains excellent throttle response with a focus on mid-range power. Upgraded valve springs required. Must use shimless buckets.
272 Deg. Duration (K) Profile - High lift "Stage 2" for built engine mid/high rpm motorsport applications running 58 to 66mm turbo size. Minor loss of throttle response and driveability in exchange for mid to high rpm power gains. Upgraded valve springs required. Must use shimless buckets.
282 Deg. Duration (L) Profile - High lift "Stage 3" for wide open throttle and high rpm motorsport applications running 64 to 72mm turbo size. Noticeable loss of throttle response and driveability in exchange for high rpm power gains. Upgraded valve springs required. Must use shimless buckets.
290 Deg. Duration (M) Profile - Extreme high boost, and high rpm drag racing applications running E85 or methanol fuel. Should be used with built engine with ported heads and oversized valves. For 67mm or larger turbo size. High seat pressure valve springs required. Must use shimless buckets.
