New semi-closed deck blocks are sleeved using special T-Sleeves for minimal cylinder distortion and maximum deck stability under extreme power levels. Every block is torque-plate honed to perfection and then fitted with Cosworth H-beam conrods, Cosworth forged pistons, high strength bearings, and factory nitrided crank (optional billet crank). Precision blueprinting of bearing clearances and dynamically balanced to with 1/2 gram is standard. Race Spec 2.0L applications can select between closed deck block (only available with billet crank) or sleeved open deck block. RSB-XS X Spec Short Block Subaru $Call X-treme Spec short blocks take the race spec short block one step further by increasing displacement. This is done by using a long stroke billet crankshafts and optionally an increased bore size. For drag racing or other specialized applications.
